Integrative care to
treat you as a whole person.
My Approach
My goal is to make you better as quickly as possible with the minimum medication required to achieve your goal.
I am not the provider that is going to start 4 medications when you meet me, or keep you on numerous medications for years if there is an opportunity to simplify treatment.
We will discuss your goals, multiple treatment options and your preferences at every step of the way.
What I treat
Anxiety
I can help reduce symptoms like worrying excessively, irritability with others, getting easily frustrated, insomnia due to anxiety, procrastination due to worry, and anxiety in social settings or certain locations.
Depression
If you have been feeling less motivated, sad more often, having crying spells and not finding as much joy in life, I can help ease these symptoms and make you feel happier.
Trauma and PTSD
I can help if you have been through a traumatic event or relationship and are having difficulty going through everyday life without feeling triggers that make you uncomfortable, anxious, or unsafe.
Gender Dysphoria
In a safe space, I can help treat the anxiety, depression, and trauma symptoms that can occur when you are navigating a challenging world with gender dysphoria. While I do not provide assessments for gender affirming procedures or hormone therapy, I can refer you to you others that do.
Mood Disorders
I can help if you have bipolar spectrum illness, and have noticed multiple day long mood swings that haven’t responded to treatment. Medications may have seemed to lose their effect, and I can help try to simplify your medications and keep you in a healthy space.
ADHD
If you’ve struggled to concentrate and keep from being distracted, despite your best efforts to organize, keeping lists, setting reminders and really trying to focus, I can help.
Insomnia
If you are having difficulty sleeping, staying up worrying or just thinking about topics on your mind, or it’s been tempting to have a drink to fall asleep or take over the counter meds, I can help.
LGBTQIA+ Welcoming Care
I offer an inclusive and supportive environment to address your mental health needs.
My Services
All appointments are by telehealth for clients located in Tennessee.

I can assist you in finding the most effective medication plan that improves your well-being with as minimal side effects as possible. Integrative approaches can help reduce the reliance on taking numerous prescription medications.
You will be highly involved in the decision process for medication. Small differences in preferences can often make a big difference in outcome, like going just a little bit slower with a titration or taking time to taper off, and closely listening to concerns about side effects and working on adherence.
I can help you to start feeling better, feeling less overwhelmed, with more stable moods and improved productivity at work.
-
Supplementation can help you by providing essential nutrients that the body and brain require to function properly. Deficiencies can contribute to mental health symptoms such as depression, poor concentration, anxiety, and fatigue. I can help you find an evidenced based plan to get you feeling better with natural options.
-
I use aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) that can help by addressing negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to mental health symptoms. By identifying and challenging these patterns, you can learn to develop more positive and adaptive coping strategies to improve your mood. CBT-I skills can also be helpful for avoiding or minimizing medication for insomnia. We can also work through behavioral activation skills that can help with depression.

Medications, therapy and supplementation may help, but are only one slice of the mental health pie. All of the habits and behaviors you have impact your mental health, and we can work towards optimizing your lifestyle, exercise, and sleep hygiene to improve your energy, mood and productivity.
-
I can discuss options for laboratory testing to identify certain underlying medical conditions or deficiencies that can impact your mental health. Genetic testing can also help identify how you metabolize medications, which can impact their effectiveness and help us decide on medication choices for you.
-
I can help you incorporate mindfulness into your daily life to reduce stress, improve focus, and reduce negative thought patterns.
-
This involves identifying factors that get to the root of what motivates you to change, and to make it happen. I can help work through hard to change behaviors that will ultimately make you happier when you hit your goal.

As an out-of-network provider, I can offer enhanced care using integrative approaches that may not be available through insurance. This enables faster and improved recovery, along with better access to timely appointments. Although I do not accept insurance, I offer superbills that you can submit to insurance if you qualify for out of network coverage.
